Stanczyk is one of the most iconic and famous artworks, created by the Polish artist. It was completed in 1862 by the Polish painter Jan Matejko and it depicts the royal court jester, named Stanczyk, who in real life – was more than just an entertainer. He was an influential person in the Polish court and his name is linked with various interesting stories.
